Coffee Aeye is a local-only application. It does not collect, transmit, share or sell any user data, images or personal information off the device.

What Coffee Aeye stores
Everything the app knows about you lives in a database file on your own device:
- Coffee bags you have scanned, including the label photos and the bean profile built from them
- Recipes, brew sessions, timings, ratings and tasting notes
- Your grinder setup, preferences and lab measurements
None of this is uploaded. There is no server holding a copy, because there is no server.
No account, no analytics, no tracking
You never create an account or sign in. The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, no advertising identifiers and no third-party tracking of any kind. We cannot see how you use the app, and we do not receive usage statistics, device identifiers or crash logs.
How the AI works
Label reading and the Brew Expert both run entirely on your device. Photographs of your coffee bags are processed locally and are never sent anywhere for analysis.
The one time Coffee Aeye needs the internet is when it downloads its AI model during setup. That download is fetched from Hugging Face, a public file host. It is an ordinary file download — nothing about you or your coffee is sent with it — though, as with any download, the host will see the standard request information such as your IP address. Their handling of that is covered by Hugging Face's privacy policy. After the model is downloaded, the app works with no connection at all.
Permissions and why they are needed

Backups you create
The backup export writes an archive of your data to a file you choose what to do with. Once you share or copy that file, it is outside the app and its privacy depends on wherever you send it. We never receive it.
Purchases
Coffee Aeye is sold through Google Play. Payment, billing and refunds are handled entirely by Google under Google's privacy policy. We receive only the aggregate sales figures that Play reports to any developer, and never your payment details.
Children
Coffee Aeye is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone, of any age.
Your rights
Because no personal data ever reaches us, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or erase on your behalf. You hold the only copy. Deleting the app, or clearing its storage from Android's settings, removes that data permanently — so export a backup first if you want to keep it.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever gains a feature that changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before that feature ships, and the date at the top will change with it.
